Navigate a layered PDF |
|
To show or hide information stored on different layers of a PDF document, use the Layers tab. |
1. | To check whether the PDF document contains layers, click the Layers tab in the navigation pane. |
2. | To show all the content stored on all the layers at once, choose Apply Layer Overrides from the Options menu. |
3. | Click the eye icon to hide a layerΓÇÖs content. Click the empty box to show a hidden layerΓÇÖs content. |
If you change the show/hide state of any layers on the Layers tab using the eye icon, these changes are not saved with the PDF document. When you save the file, the visibility of the layers automatically reverts to the initial visibility state. To change which layers are shown when the file is opened, you must change the default state of the layers in the Layer Properties dialog box. |
The creator of a layered PDF document may also have created bookmarks and links to take the user to a custom view of a particular layer. |
